Product number and Telaris number

In Telaris there are two types of number on the product card

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Purpose

On the product card in Telaris there are two product numbers. These are usually called 'Produktnummer' and 'Telaris PNr.'

The reason there are two numbers on the product is so you can distinguish between the supplier's product number and the number created by the database. This means you can have identical product numbers, while the Telaris PNr. will always be unique.

The Telaris PNr. is also a unique key used for imports and matching of information.

Both the Telaris PNr. and the supplier's product number are equally searchable in Telaris.

Product number - PNr - Product SKU

A product number, or PNr., is the supplier's product SKU. This number is the official product number from the supplier, and is often the same as the part number from certain suppliers.

This is also the number used to match catalogue imports on product number, where it is called "Lev. PNr" or the supplier's product number.

Telaris product number - Product No.

The Telaris PNr. is a completely unique number assigned to new products that are created. Unlike the Produktnummer (PNr.), there cannot be duplicate Telaris PNr. in the product list.

In imports, product matching, and comparisons, the Telaris PNr. will always be unique, which makes it a useful tool for checking products, sales, and turnover reports.

Both the Telaris PNr. and the supplier's product number are equally searchable in Telaris.
