Introduction to VAT and price

Price and VAT in the WooCommerce integration are controlled primarily from Telaris.

It is important that the price and VAT settings are configured correctly, as an incorrect setup can cause discrepancies between the web shop and orders in Telaris.

Tips: Make sure the VAT settings in Telaris and WooCommerce are consistent.

How prices are exported

Prices are exported from Telaris to WooCommerce via the field price.

This includes:

• Regular price
• Sale price
• Sale period

WooCommerce is updated automatically on changes or via the quick update.

VAT on export

Whether prices are sent with or without VAT is controlled by Telaris.

WooCommerce's VAT configuration does not affect how prices are sent from Telaris.

NOTE: If Telaris and WooCommerce do not have the same VAT setup, prices may display incorrectly in the web shop.

VAT on order import

When importing orders from WooCommerce:

• All order lines are set with 25% VAT

This applies regardless of what is set in WooCommerce.

NOTE: This can cause errors for export abroad or VAT-free products.

Sale prices

Sale prices are controlled from Telaris and include:

• Sale price
• Start date
• End date

These are sent automatically to WooCommerce together with the regular price.

Tips: Deactivate "price" in the attribute table if you want to control sales directly in WooCommerce.

Common problems with VAT and price

If prices or VAT are incorrect, check:

• Different VAT configuration in Telaris and WooCommerce
• Price incl./excl. VAT is set incorrectly
• Sale price is overwritten by Telaris

NOTE: Telaris is always the master for price if the field is active.
