Guide explaining the meaning of the stock fields on the product card

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Product card stock fields

The product card has several fields related to stock locations, purchase rules, allocation, and movement.

Stock location

Registration of the default stock location is done on the warehouse where the product should be located.

If there is only one warehouse, the default location is registered on that one warehouse.

Purchasing then suggests a stock location at the correct warehouse based on which warehouse you use in the purchase.

From the image above, the rules for how the location is shown on a product:

  • Blank (empty / none) if the system does not find any default location.
  • Grey if the system finds a default location.
  • Black if the location is set.

NOTE: The location is set per warehouse. Choosing a warehouse in the field called 'Standard' does not set a default location on the warehouse.

Min. Stock and Min. Purchase

Used in connection with the purchase planner, see the link to the separate guide.

Available

Shows the available quantity in stock, minus picked and reserved products.

Releasing reserved products, or putting products back in stock from an order, increases the number of available products.

Physical stock

The total quantity in stock that is physically in the warehouse and not picked in an order.
Note that picked, non-invoiced orders are still included in the stock value, which is not the same as physical stock.

Allocated in Orders

Products that are released for picking, or picked, but not invoiced. To remove products in this state that should not be invoiced, the product must be put back in stock.
