How do I change the sender address on email sent from Telaris?

Telaris offers two methods for the sender domain in outgoing emails. The default solution uses Telaris' built-in system, where Telaris' own domain acts as the sender.

The alternative solution is to order a customization via Telaris, so that your own domain is used as the sender.

Default solution - sender domain Telaris


The default sender address in the system isviktig@email.telaris.no. This is chosen as the default because the sender address has a very high rating with the important players, which increases the likelihood that emails sent from the system reach the correct recipient. As a safeguard, we have a service that checks, and notifies the sender, if an email is not delivered.


Reply function


Regardless of the sender address, the reply function is active.Replies go back to the sender address chosen in the send dialog.

It is either the company email or the logged-in user's email that is chosen; this is defined and clarified during the delivery period.


Note: Arecommendation is to start the email with:"This email was sent from our ERP system. You can use the reply function on the email, which goes to the company address."




Alternnative solution - own sender domain


If you want to send email from your own domain, Telaris can verify your domain in collaboration with the "SendGrid" solution.


This requires that you can register Domain Name System (DNS) entries in your domain yourself. If you are unsure how this is done, you should check with your IT contact, or support at the provider of the domain used by the company. Telaris cannot provide support in this area.


Ordering


  1. You send an email tosupport@telaris.nowith the text from the table below.
  2. You receive an email from support confirming that an email with DNS entries has been sent to the email address you specified.
  3. You/your IT contact/support register the DNS settings from the email received from SendGrid, and confirm back to Telaris support with the desired sender address.
  4. We confirm whether the verification is approved or has failed.

Confirmation received


After you have received confirmation that the verification is approved, you must do the following:

  1. Send at least three invoices by email from the system to different recipients and verify that the email arrives correctly at the recipient and that the sender address is correct.
  2. Send confirmation tosupport@telaris.nothat the emails arrive.
